CONSIDERATIONS BEFORE HIRING STUDENTS

Q: Who are the "Students"?

A: “Students” are current college students and recent graduates. (Students pledge they are admitted to an accredited college, university or vocational school with intent to continue enrollment as a full-time student in the next quarter or semester [excluding summer] or that they have graduated within the past 18 months from an accredited college, university or vocational school.)

Q: Does One Less Thing employ the students?

A: No. Students are independent contractors.

Q: Are the students screened ahead of time?

A: No. We do our best to encourage only responsible students to create profiles but persons hiring should always interview students, read their reviews if available and obtain references.

BACKGROUND/DMV CHECKS

A: Students have the ability to request a background check from First Advantage. Background checks are paid for by the students and are NOT required.

Students can also opt for a DMV motor vehicle check to verify their driving record.

Q: Can I ask the student for a copy of their background and/or motor vehicle check?

A: Yes.

Q: Can I request a background check on a student?
